GELATO
About
The Gelato Difference
Gelato vs Ice Cream
Gelato is a frozen dessert that originated in Italy. It is much like ice cream with the exception of a few key differences.
-
Ice cream has 10% butterfat and gelato has 3-8%. Therefore, we can use delicious Paul-Lin Dairy milk in it's original form without needing to separate the cream to get enough for ice cream production.
-
Gelato is traditionally served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream and does not usually contain eggs.
-
The combination of less fat and higher serving temperature allows the flavors of gelato to be stronger than traditional ice cream. We hope you enjoy our product straight from our cows to your cone! (or bowl!)
